Friendly and helpful staff made us feel welcome.
The pillows were too thin and mattress far too soft for my liking.

We enjoyed our stay as a family with a young child. The location was perfect for exploring the nearby Lake District. We especially loved the fantastic food and friendly bar staff, making it a great spot to unwind after a day in nature.
My kids wished there were more options for them at breakfast.

Had an amazing time with friends exploring the wonderful gardens and visiting the poet's childhood home. The staff were super friendly, and the food in the restaurant was delicious. A great spot to unwind after a day of trekking!
Only downside was the small hot tap in the bathroom not working efficiently, which was a bit annoying.

Fantastic Stay with Unforgettable Breakfast
I stayed for 2 nights in a Standard Double Room and was thoroughly impressed by the experience. The location couldn't be better. right in the heart of Coniston with convenient access to attractions. The breakfast was simply outstanding, featuring locally sourced ingredients that made every bite memorable. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure all my needs were met. One area for improvement would be to have more parking spaces available, as it can be a bit tricky to find a spot during busy hours.

Great food and comfy stay!
Had a last minute stay and was super comfy in the top room! The shower was tiny but the rainhead was awesome. Breakfast was on point and the staff made it feel like home. Food prices at the restaurant seemed a bit steep. nice vibe and warm welcomes from the crew!

We had a lovely night where the food was a real highlight, especially the sea bass and chicken leek pie we devoured! The sun terrace was perfect for a morning coffee and unwinding after our trek. Just a heads-up, the hallway decor could use a little refresh, but it didn't take away from our enjoyment. 😊

A Pleasant Stay with Room for Improvement
Enjoyed a two-night stay in a cozy budget double room. The staff were friendly, but some meals, like the pancakes, missed the mark. Try The Black Bull for a heartier meal nearby, but for great service, stick close to the inn’s bar. Bring your own pillows for comfort!
